Illinois Voters Reveal Disgust With Kirk's Lies, Out-Of-Touch Views
Post date: October 15, 2010CHICAGO - With less than three weeks left before the November 2 election, Illinois voters who have had enough of the lies and out-of-touch beliefs of Mark Kirk are voicing their opinions in a new ad launched today by U.S. Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias.
The spot, entitled “My Left Foot,” demonstrates just how out of touch Kirk is with ordinary Illinoisans, especially when it comes to critical matters such as trust and the economy. It includes Kirk’s lies about his military record, opposition to middle-class tax cuts and belief that unemployment isn’t a big issue.
"Congressman Kirk is a typical Washington politician who can't be trusted to tell the truth, has long supported the reckless Bush economic policies that drove our economy into the ground, and doesn’t believe that getting people back to work should be a priority,” said Alexi for Illinois campaign spokesman Scott Burnham. “Illinois voters have had enough of Mark Kirk and his buddy Karl Rove who have spent millions telling lies and smearing Alexi Giannoulias on the airwaves.”
"My Left Foot" can be viewed here. The ad transcript is below.
